ETCHED SD45X DETAIL SET HO SCALE KV MODELS KV-146H

Description

This set is for the Pacific Northwest Resins Sd45x shell.  It includes side grilles for the flared section of long hood, cooling fans, cooling fan grilles, cooling fan mounting plates, lifting lugs, exhaust stack grille and inertial intake roof grille.  The the cooling fan mounting plates are attached to the inside of the shell.  A small square of .60″x.60″ styrene is attached to the center circle of the mounting plate (acting as a spacer).  The cooling fan is attached to the top of the styrene block.  If you would like the fan to be closer to the top grilles then use a taller styrene spacer, .80″x.60…etc.  The cooling fan grilles are attached to the top of the cooling fan housing with CA.  The lifting lugs are designed to fold down the center etched line to build their thickness up.  A tab at the base of the lug is inserted into a hole drilled into the roof of the shell.  Everything else on the fret should be self-explanatory.
The parts are stainless steel and are extremely sturdy.
Please note that you are NOT purchasing the PNW shell here.  You are only purchasing the etched detail set.  The shell is available from PNW resins.
